My daughter, age 11, is a “special needs child” with spina bifida. She is very mobile, very smart, and hyperactive. She has had many surgeries and has been on quite a bit of medication, and had developed a great deal of anxiety. I did not want to medicate her even more for the anxiety, and I was praying about what to do. I found Turnaround through YouTube and called to find out more about it. We received the kit and she truly loved it, listening faithfully every morning, working through journal, and listening to the Chill Kit every evening.
After several weeks, she only started listening to the Chill Kit at night. Soon, she stopped that as well. The anxiety dramatically diminished to the point that she was able to go to a vacation bible school and an art day camp all without me! She had one panic attack, at the beginning of bible school, but was able to talk herself back into control. She has been able to come off all but one of her meds! She still doesn’t enjoy going shopping, but she will go…a major change. Truly, a TURNAROUND! I am thankful for the kit, and for the progress that she has made. I have faith that now, with the knowledge that she has received, she will improve even more. Carol, Georgia, USA
Hi. We are on Day 7 of the program, and so far, my 9 year old son has been enjoying the CDs. He listens to the chill CD each night. I think the CDs are very well done and comprehensive. The Chill character is great. From listening to the CDs with my son, I have learned a lot more about his thoughts that feed into his anxiety. The different color types of anxiety have been helpful for him to understand his own anxiety better.
I found the parent CDs and the interview with Dr. Lee to be very helpful, especially since my husband and I have been talking about whether or not to try medication for our son. I’m very familiar with the research in this area, and I appreciate how well you explain the concepts and refer to the research literature. CZ, Mom
Thank you so much for your turnaround program. After Christmas break this year my son stopped wanting to go to school. He started having severe separation anxiety from me and ended up in the office uncontrollably crying and not able to turn it off. I know exactly what was going because I experienced this as well when I was a child. I have thought about it a lot as a parent and wondered why and what was going on with me back then. I had no program or easy way to label it. It was just a very hard, sad time for me. Now with your help, thank God, my son can be spared most of that confusion and emotional uncertainty.
The hardest part for me, as a parent, was dealing with the school’s response: everyone wanted to know why? What happened? What was going on at home? And the teachers, counselors, and administration were looking at me to do something, to make it change, when all along I knew that is was just the way he was wired and like me, he was going to have these emotional growth spurts.
Once I found your program it was a light at the end of the tunnel, your group nailed it. It helps us daily. It’s not something that just goes away, you have to work on it and quiet it and consciously make choices to think different thoughts. It’s giving him coping life skills that will undoubtedly help him excel throughout the rest of his life. I have shared this program with educators, counselors and parents. Thank you so much! Colleen
