Parenting a child with anxiety is very challenging, and if you have struggled with anxiety yourself, it is even more worrisome. You so want your child to experience a happy, joy-filled childhood and when they don’t it can produce a host of emotional reactions including anxiety, sadness, anger, impatience, agitation, and even panic.
Dr. Chris and Dr. David have worked with anxious children and their families for years, and have had to work through their own children’s struggles with anxiety. The docs know much of what you and your child are going through.
An eleven-year old boy in New Zealand remarked to his mum that out of all the professionals providing help he thought that the docs who created Turnaround best understood how he felt. It’s because of our personal and professional experiences that we’re able to help so many families with children who struggle with anxiety.
Parenting a Child With Anxiety? How Turnaround Helps
The program includes more than three hours of material to inform and support you if you are parenting a child with anxiety. Included in the Turnaround program is a Guide for Parents that is an hour and a half discussion with Dr. David and Dr. Chris about child anxiety and the struggles many parents face. Many parents listen to this resource more than once to really take in all the information presented. They find it very helpful in parenting their anxious child.
Part of the standard and premium programs is an hour and a half interview by Dr. Chris and Dr. David with Neuropsychiatrist, Dr. James Lee (MedFaqs). This will help parents understand the medical components of child anxiety including the pros and cons of using medication. This is a very in-depth conversation about the biology of anxiety and how physicians treat it. You will find this very helpful especially if you are considering medication or if your child is taking it.
The docs love to share their insights and current research with parents. Follow them by “liking” the Turnaround Anxiety page on Facebook. The Blog page on this website provides an array of information on child health and anxiety. Scroll through the archive to find articles relevant to your particular circumstance.
